Immerse yourself in photography and learn from the experts - and have fun doing it - during this out of the ordinary Immersion Seminar where your day will be filled with a series of illuminating educational sessions. You will spend the day in a comfortable, high-quality setting experiencing photography and education in a dynamic fashion.
At the end of the day, you’ll understand the essentials of how to:
* Take full advantage of your EOS camera’s features and custom functions
* Create perfect lighting with Canon Speedlites
* Learn the art of storytelling with EOS HD Video
* Capture a variety of vibrant scenes with confidence
You’ll learn how to adjust menu settings for maximum picture quality and customize the camera to suit your style. During the Speedlite lecture, Jeff Greene will demonstrate lighting scenarios to bring the content to life, you will discover what functions and settings the professionals use. Whether it is one Speedlite or three, you will see how simple it can be to add a new dimension of quality to your images. Sharon Levy Freed, Emmy winning photojournalist, will inspire attendees with the possibilities of storytelling with EOS HD Video including story structure and composition. Considerations for a variety of unique applications including motion and macro photography will help you develop a broad range of technical and creative skills that align with your personal interests.
Cameras are not required at this lecture, you may find it helpful to bring along your camera to follow along with menu and custom function discussions. Though much of the content is applicable to all Canon cameras the majority of examples are from the latest models such as 7D and 5D Mark II. The lecture is supported by demonstrations on-stage and we will allow plenty of time for Q&A.
We will have our Canon Technical Representatives on-hand to show equipment and to answer questions on products including printers.
The CAC is located just a few blocks from the historic French Quarter. Parking is conveniently located in a large garage across the street for the daily rate of $6.
Traveling from out of town? The Carnival season will be underway and a few parades will be happening around town. Come enjoy a day of learning and then apply your knowledge by capturing the start of Mardi Gras 2012.
