Join Canon Explorer of Light George Lepp in the beautiful Eastern Sierra Mountains of Central California to photograph a diverse array of natural and historic subjects against a backdrop of fall colors. Benefit from George’s 28 years of leading photographers in this amazing area. George will take you to the best locations to capture unique and evocative images. A Canon technical representative will have available the latest camera bodies and lenses for the participants to use.
Students will learn the dynamics of landscape photography and new and creative ways to capture the beauty of fall colors, beaver ponds, lakes and a unique ghost town. Some of these techniques include panoramas, “stacking” to increase depth of field, HDR as a tool to solve contrast problems, time-lapse to add life to images, painting with light and maximizing creative composition with use of a variety of lenses.
The Canon gear we will provide for students to learn and experiment with will only further enhance the experience. As part of the workshop registration, students are able to borrow the latest Canon gear including wide angle to medium telephoto lenses, extension tubes, flashes and a selection of EOS bodies to capture the environment. The workshop will include classroom instruction, field demonstrations and group critiques.
The workshop is limited to 16 students so you will have plenty of attention and support from George and one of our highly skilled Canon technical representatives. Throughout the course, students will learn professional insights and techniques from George and have the opportunity to print 1-2 of their images on a PIXMA Pro printer, as well as learn essential processing tips.

You will also have the opportunity to submit images to the on-site technical representative who will make one or two prints for you to take home.
