Photographing by existing light has always been a compelling way to capture images, so much so that it’s become an identifiable style for some photographers. As compelling as it may be, success is elusive for many.
With the advent of today’s DSLRs, with low-light image quality that was unthinkable only a few years ago, there’s never been a better time to really explore what’s possible with existing light.
This three-hour program will move you past the challenges of shooting in dimly lit areas and give you the knowledge and confidence to get truly better pictures in situations where flash may not be the right answer. We’ll cover techniques used in street photography; star field and star trail photography, amusement parks, fireworks and much more. When the sun goes down, you’ll discover a whole new world of photographic possibilities. You’ll be inspired to get out of the house to shoot at times when you thought all you could do was watch television!
What you will learn:
- Photographing cityscapes
- Shooting during “Money Light”
- Low light interiors
- Custom color balance
- Using monochrome Picture Style
- Shooting fireworks
- Creative exposure effects
- Processing tips for high ISO images
- HDR and panoramas
