Join Piper Mackay as she shares her intrepid journey, spanning the African continent and living in Kenya, as an African wildlife and Tribal Photographer.
Facing many technical challenges in these remote regions, Piper will share the natural lighting techniques she created to simulate studio lighting, which allows her to create compelling images in the harshest light of the day and maximize the time in a location. Piper will discuss the 4 critical elements in making a powerful image and the two most important questions she asks before every click, which can immediately elevate your skills as a photographer. Learn how different lenses and camera bodies can add huge creative value to your vision.
Throughout the evening she will openly share her knowledge of researching a remote location, finding a good fixer, driving through the most rugged terrain in her Land Rover, and how she gained the respect of the local communities, which gave her access to special ceremonies and wildlife projects. Travel with Piper to this exciting continent and learn to create stunning images that go way beyond a snapshot.
