On May 22nd 2011, Ron Howard and Canon U.S.A. invited photographers of all levels to submit their most imaginative photographs based on a series of movie themes for "Project Imagin8ion," the first user-generated photo contest in history to ultimately inspire a Hollywood short film.
After receiving nearly 100,000 submissions, eight winning photos were chosen by Ron Howard, setting the stage for his production. The film when you find me, shot using Canon cameras including the new Cinema EOS System and DSLR cameras and lenses, tells the story of two sisters whose childhood bond is tested by a tragedy they are too young to understand.
when you find me cinematographer Andre Lascaris was interviewed for the Canon Digital Learning Center regarding his experiences using the EOS C300 and EOS 5D Mark II on this project.
