Born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1965 and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico John Paul Caponigro attended both Yale University and University of California at Santa Cruz graduating with a BA in Art and Literature in 1988. In 1989 he moved to Cushing, Maine where he lives with his wife Arduina and their son.
John Paul is respected internationally as one of the most prominent fine artists working with digital media processes. Known as an environmental artist, John Paul's work has been shown in many galleries and museums throughout the world. His work resides in many private and public collections including Princeton University, the Estée Lauder collection, and the Smithsonian.
Well respected as an authority on creativity and fine digital printing John Paul teaches internationally at prominent workshops and Universities including MIT, RIT, Photoshop World, TEDx, and many ASMP events throughout the country.
John Paul is a widely published writer and a contributing editor for Photoshop User, After Capture and Digital PhotoPro magazines and a featured columnist for the Huffington Post and the Apple Web Site (www.apple.com/creative). John Paul has published six books. His book Adobe Photoshop Master Class: John Paul Caponigro is in it's second printing.
John Paul’s work has been published widely in numerous periodicals and books including Art News and The Ansel Adams Guide.
A contributing editor for Digital Photo Pro and AfterCapture, and a columnist for Photoshop User, Luminous-Landscape.com, Apple.com, and the Huffington Post, he is the author of Adobe Photoshop Master Class and the DVD series R/Evolution.
John Paul is one of Canon’s Explorers of Light, a member of the Photoshop Hall of Fame, an Epson Stylus Pro, and an X-Rite Coloratti. His clients include Adobe, Apple, Canon, Epson, Kodak, and Sony.
